FOMC Nasdaq Trading SO GOOD, CHINESE HACKERS Tried Take Me Out of the Market

A late afternoon FOMC trade I took while seeing an opportunity in the heat of the moment. I had just seen the market print a form of reversal at a 4h level while intending to allow the market to print something informative for my overall bias, and I took it as a simple, completely neutral ICT sweep of the highs reversing to sweep the lows. The initial entry was perfect textbook for what my system is capable of delivering in terms of R:R efficiency; but I accidentally took it in the NQ proper, and not with MNQ micro contracts. For my analysis, I use NQ because it represents the intentions and levels of the marketplace more faithfully the vast majority of the time; but I’d forgotten to switch over to my executable chart and needed to close the position and re-open it with appropriate leverage. In the middle of shuffling my market position into place, I encountered technical difficulties with my internet connection and lost the stream. Fortunately, I recorded as a back-up.

I remember FBI director Chris Wray mentioned recently in a hearing that there are a lot of Chinese hackers out there these days and they apparently have a hacking gang, so that’s the inspiration for the title!
